This is a 1/12 scale ( total hight 11 cm) of a historical street grinding tool used in Turkey since 1850's.There are still few of them operating in many areas of Turkey. The sharpeners travel on the streets to reach their customers for sharpening kitchen knives,scissors and mainly butchers knives.
This mobile work bench is equipped with a grinding wheel which is powered by foot, using a kind of bicycle mechanism. The model can be operated by finger using the foot mechanism next to the battery, placed to show the size of the model.
